Responsibilities
- Partner with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure manufacturable solutions
- Develop production procedures and manage transition from development to high-rate production
- Design and qualify tooling, machinery, and fixtures for assembly and testing
- Create CAD models and prints for flight hardware and tooling components
- Lead on-site engineering support for builds, driving improvements to parts, processes, and tooling
- Create and maintain build schedules and work instructions
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing discrepancies, interfacing with quality teams
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate with suppliers and vendors
- Source and advise vendors from a technical perspective
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or industrial engineering (preferred)
