- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the full UAV design and integration lifecycle
- Conceptualize and document system architectures and upgrades for vehicle systems
- Perform conceptual sizing, system performance analysis, and initial prototyping for small drones
- Define system layouts, interfaces, and integration plans for new UAV platforms and payloads
- Manage tactical engineering efforts and coordinate across mechanical, electrical, software, and test disciplines
- Draft and execute test plans for critical subsystems and support vehicle-level acceptance testing
- Develop interface controls and integration guidance for partners, customers, and payloads
- Lead vehicle data analysis to identify performance trends and develop predictive failure models
- Support bench builds, hands-on prototyping, and flight testing (with occasional travel)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
