Supplier Industrialization Engineer, PCB (Starshield)
Skills
- Experience with PCBs, laminates, electrochemical processes, or microelectronics fabrication
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes and systems (PPAP, APQP, FAIR, RCCA, ISO/AS standards)
- Knowledge of statistical methods (SPC, DOE, Six Sigma) and data-driven problem solving
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills for interfacing with suppliers and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25–60%) and work extended hours when needed
Responsibilities
- Own continuity of supply for PCBs and related components on the Starshield program
- Collaborate with design, R&D, supply chain, reliability, and production to manage suppliers and meet production goals
- Assess, audit, and onboard new suppliers; develop supplier technical requirements and quality flow-downs
- Implement and monitor PPAP and other supplier qualification activities to enable rate production
- Define and approve process controls for critical characteristics and support SPC/yield improvement
- Drive supplier root cause analysis, corrective actions, and containment for quality issues
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and implement improvement plans
- Recommend technical product and process improvements to reduce defects, cost, and cycle time
- Serve as liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve issues
- Lead projects and present technical and program status to internal teams, management, and suppliers
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering, business, or supply chain (preferred)
