Skills
- Proficient with Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Strong Python development experience and familiarity with Python frameworks
- Experience with HPC systems and large-scale compute clusters
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Configuration management and infra-as-code (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
- CI/CD and build systems (Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP) and virtualization knowledge
- Familiarity with web frontend technologies and REST/JSON
- Monitoring, alerting and incident response practices
Responsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade, operate, and scale mission-critical GNC products and services
- Provision and maintain virtual and physical servers and collaborate with IT on computational infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain a 4000+ thread HPC cluster in partnership with the HPC team
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment for web apps and simulation software
- Implement monitoring and respond to outages; run incident response and postmortems
- Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for GNC engineering tools and workflows
- Develop and improve GNC web apps and analysis tools for usability, maintainability, and performance
- Document demos, major changes (OS upgrades, filesystem changes), and recommend hardware purchases
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across systems and applications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field plus 2+ years software development experience
- OR 4+ years professional experience building software with site reliability/DevOps in lieu of degree
- Must meet ITAR eligibility (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or be able to obtain required authorizations
