Responsibilities
- Design detailed electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, and lighting
- Specify and integrate UPS units, standby/emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, and power monitoring systems
- Perform load flow analysis and electrical equipment evaluations for facility power distribution
- Design and verify building/site grounding, fire alarm, and lightning protection systems
- Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for facility electrical components and controllers
- Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with trade partners and local utilities
- Ensure electrical designs and installations meet applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IBC, AFSPCMAN)
- Review equipment interfaces for compatibility with mechanical systems and facility power budgets
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline (required)
