- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, manufacturing, mathematics or physics
- 2+ years professional experience with aerospace systems or operations engineering
- Experience interfacing with U.S. government agencies and understanding of regulatory processes
- Familiarity with range operations (airspace, maritime coordination, RF, GPS and range sensors)
- Program/contract management experience for external support services
- Ability to write and execute test plans and procedures
- Basic understanding of orbital mechanics and orbital-class launch timelines
- Ability to obtain/maintain required security and export-control status (ITAR/US person)
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions for launch operations covering RF spectrum, airspace management, maritime safety, GPS and range sensors
- Interface and coordinate directly with FAA, USCG, USSF, USAF and other federal/state/local agencies
- Lead cross-functional coordination to meet regulatory requirements for orbital-class launches
- Validate and verify range requirements for federal and commercial launch ranges
- Manage contracts and program-level agreements with government agencies and commercial range service providers
- Implement and enforce safety policies during flight hardware processing from an external safety perspective
- Advise on conflict-elimination strategies via hardware, policy, or coordination changes and drive issues to resolution
- Own all aspects of launches that require external partner coordination and be mission-accountable for those interfaces
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, manufacturing, mathematics, or physics (required)
- Advanced degree in related field (preferred)
