Skills
- Hands-on experience with assembly and integration of mechanical structures
- Knowledge of metallic manufacturing techniques (welding, forming, fastening, bonding, drilling)
- 3D CAD experience for component and tooling design
- Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
- Ability to analyze production flow, capacity, and layout for high-volume manufacturing
- Experience writing work instructions and performing root cause corrective actions
Responsibilities
- Lead build, inspection, and structural assembly integration for Falcon launch vehicle hardware
- Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery requirements
- Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability and support transition from R&D to production
- Plan and execute capital equipment, tooling, and layout upgrades to support volume production
- Create and refine floor layouts, capacity models, and product flow analyses to ensure on-time delivery
- Write and maintain work instructions, procedures, and assembly documentation for critical aerospace parts
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials or industrial engineering (preferred)
