KBR is looking for a Structural Engineer - Work Group Lead to join our downtown Houston based team!
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of engineers.
Plan, budget, organize, coordinate, and control the project
Responsible for design, specification, and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, wood, or engineered products for structures, platforms, bridges, pipe racks, buildings, etc.
Responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower-level professionals
Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include various complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of traditional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Job tasks, correctly performed, indirectly impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
BS in Engineering
15+ years of structural experience with an EPC company or Operator, with average experience ranging from 15-20 plus years.
Requires sufficient professional experience to ensure competence as a fully trained professional.
Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
