Senior Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Casting

- Supplier quality and industrialization expertise for mechanical casting
- Proficiency with CAD and GD&T for part design and tolerance review
- Knowledge of IPC standards and SPC methodology
- Experience vetting supplier facilities, tooling, and production lines
- Strong root cause analysis and corrective action execution
- Ability to travel frequently (≈50%) and work on-site at supplier locations
- Clear oral and written communication and cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
- Own and manage mechanical casting commodity strategy from NPI to full production across business lines
- Evaluate and qualify supplier capabilities, facilities, and processes for Approved Supplier List inclusion
- Lead supplier tooling, line bring-up, and development activities at supplier sites to meet performance and demand
- Drive capacity expansion readiness and production ramp at suppliers
- Establish and review process performance and SPC controls with suppliers
- Partner with SQE and supply chain to close root cause corrective/preventative actions at supplier sites
- Identify and implement product and process improvements to reduce cost, defects, and cycle time
- Coordinate cross-functionally with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering (preferred)
