Chemist (Starlink PCB)
Skills
- Hands-on wet chemistry techniques (titrations, photometry, AAS) or equivalent
- Electrochemical analysis experience (e.g., cyclic voltammetry/CVS)
- Familiarity with PCB failure modes and IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-6012)
- Experience with LIMS or lab data systems
- Lab equipment calibration and preventive maintenance
- Safe handling of flammable, toxic, corrosive, and hazardous chemicals
- Basic troubleshooting and root-cause support in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication and ability to work cross-functionally
Responsibilities
- Execute test methods and perform chemical analyses to support PCB production lines
- Develop and document test procedures in collaboration with engineers
- Recommend and implement lab process improvements to reduce cost and downtime and increase yield
- Provide failure-mode feedback and support root-cause investigations with engineering
- Perform equipment start-up/shutdown, preventive maintenance, calibration, and first-level troubleshooting
- Handle, transport, and dispose of hazardous chemicals safely and maintain related inventory
- Maintain 5S standards and keep lab areas clean and organized
- Cross-train on microsection analysis and other lab techniques as needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree in chemistry, materials science, or related STEM field preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred but not required
