Acelero, Inc. is seeking a passionate and dedicated Wellness Coordinator to enhance the wellness and resilience of children, families, and staff in Head Start communities. In this role, you will lead engaging wellness initiatives and foster community partnerships to support holistic well-being using trauma-informed strategies.
Responsibilities: The Wellness Coordinator will develop wellness strategies, conduct activities and events for the community, assess wellness needs and communicate them to leadership, and provide referrals for community services.
Skills: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in social service or human resources; experience with ethnically diverse communities; valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation required.
Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred; experience working with children and families.
Location: Gulfport, MS, required local or long-distance travel up to 10% of the time.
Compensation: $52719 - $52719 / Annually

Your Role:
The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for creating opportunities for Early/Head Start Families and Staff to enhance wellness and resilience in fun and empowering ways. This position works with members of the local community to bring presentations, activities, and resources into Head Start schools. The Wellness Coordinator also creates safe and trauma-informed learning environments by facilitating activities, training, and workshops that help improve the wellbeing of Head Start staff, students, and families.
