Monitor library operations and participate in strategic planning for the library and library system.
Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate special projects, services, and programs.
Provide opportunities for continuing professional development of self and other staff members, especially in acquiring relevant understanding and skills via coaching and performance management.
Keep abreast of developments, new trends, and innovations in libraries.
Oversee financial, compliance, operational, and performance audits, ensuring appropriate controls are established and implemented.
Handle employee relations issues.
Attend annual cash management training and assist in all areas of business unit cash and budget management.
Prepare and present activity reports and technical information.
Ensure standards of service that provide prompt and efficient resolution of each inquiry by internal and external customers, delivered with the utmost respect and courtesy.
Manage proactive assessments of fraud awareness, prevention, detection, and risk mitigation activities in the area of responsibility.
Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours/week.
Sunday - Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Must be available to work during operating hours for the library - including some nights and weekends.
Employee may be reassigned to a different work location (other than their original assignment) within the library system to meet changing service needs on occasion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Services
Two (2) years of related experience
One year of supervisory experience
Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for five (5) years.
Starting Pay: $61,755.20
