About the job:
As a proactive and analytical Manufacturing Improvement Leader, you will use your data skills to drive operational excellence at our Virginia production site. This hybrid role combines leadership in continuous improvement initiatives with advanced data analysis to identify trends, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean methodologies, data analytics, and production operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead and facilitate Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Develop and implement standard work procedures, visual management tools, and process controls
Train and coach staff on continuous improvement tools and methodologies
Collect, analyse, and interpret production data to identify trends, variances, and root causes
Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs such as OEE, downtime, yield, and throughput
Use statistical tools to support problem-solving and decision-making
Present insights and recommendations to site leadership to support operational goals
Manage improvement projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to implement changes
Track project outcomes and report on ROI and performance improvements
About you:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
Mininum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, distribution or production environment
Proven examples of Improvement projects and use of data analysis to make strategic recommendations
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies (certification preferred)
Experience with being on-site with regular interaction on the shop floor, with exposure to manufacturing equipment, processes and safety protocols
Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Agile, Proactive self-starter, enthusiastic team player attitude
