Role Summary
Rowan is seeking a Senior Associate, Customer & Market Insights to join our Business Development team in Denver. This role is focused on gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing market intelligence to support customer pursuits, site origination, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across internal teams and external partners (e.g., brokers, data providers, consultants).
This role will ensure Rowan has a consistent, customer-centric view of market activity, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% for company gatherings or to industry events.
Location: Denver, CO (hybrid in-office role)
Compensation: $110-$135K (Offers Bonus)
Essential Responsibilities
Track and analyze customer and market trends in the data center industry, including supply/demand dynamics, competitive projects, and investment activity
Develop market reports that summarize activity and perspectives on current, emerging, and power-first markets, including views of priority submarkets
Track hyperscaler activity and future demand patterns, ensuring Rowan understands where major customers are and where they are headed
Analyze pricing dynamics (e.g., $/kW/month levels, lease comps, deal activity) to inform pursuit strategies and customer engagements
Build and maintain customer profiles and insights to support pursuit strategies and strengthen engagement with hyperscale and emerging customers
Develop and manage external brokerage and intel relationships (e.g., brokers, datacenterHawk, DC Byte, other providers), ensuring Rowan has timely access to relevant competitive data
Support creation of customer-facing materials (briefings, presentations, event content) that reflect market insight and add value in engagements
Collaborate with Customer Ops and Site Origination to ensure consistent, data-backed input into land and power evaluations
Education, Skills, and Experience
3–5+ years in market research, consulting, finance, or a related analytical field
Strong skills in gathering and interpreting market intelligence, with the ability to translate it into actionable insights
Excellent written and visual communication; able to prepare both detailed analysis and executive-ready summaries
Experience working with external data providers, brokers, or research firms preferred
Familiarity with data centers, digital infrastructure, or real estate markets is a plus but not required
