Skills
- Expert-level Java or Kotlin proficiency
- Experience designing and shipping cloud-native services (AWS)
- Strong OOAD, SOLID, and design-patterns background
- Proven history writing automated unit and integration tests
- Ability to work with large, complex codebases and improve system performance
- Quantitative understanding of financial instruments and valuations (preferred)
- Mentoring and cross-team collaboration skills
- Comfort using modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance services and components for trade order management, valuation, and analytics.
- Drive architecture and technical strategy across asset class expansion and platform features.
- Collaborate with product, quant, and engineering teams from requirements to delivery and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain clean, well-tested code using OOAD/SOLID principles and automated unit tests.
- Create developer automation and tooling to improve quality, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Coach and mentor product engineering teams to raise engineering standards and influence technical decisions.
- Advocate pragmatic design and development best practices and performance/security optimizations.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders and take ownership of technical problems through to resolution.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline (required)
- Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (preferred)
