Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision
- Provide therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and adaptive equipment training
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress to the supervising OT
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
- Travel to patient homes and manage a personal caseload
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent COTA education
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid state licensure to practice as a COTA
