Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage vascular conditions including venous insufficiency, pelvic congestion syndrome, and peripheral arterial disease
- Perform minimally invasive, office-based procedures (ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, micro-phlebectomy) after training and qualification
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and follow-up care
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care
- Respond to patient inquiries, follow-ups, and urgent issues as appropriate
- Document all patient encounters and procedures in the electronic medical record ensuring HIPAA compliance
Education
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active NP or PA license in Illinois
- National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- DEA license or ability to obtain
