As an Underwriting Associate, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating risks and underwriting policies for various insurance products. You will utilize your analytical skills to assess client needs and market conditions, while collaborating closely with brokers and clients to provide tailored solutions in a fast-paced and evolving environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Evaluate and underwrite insurance applications for various products, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and risk appetite.
• Analyze data and assess risks using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external brokers to develop and present insurance solutions.
• Prepare and maintain underwriting documentation and client reports.
• Monitor market trends and conduct competitive analysis to inform underwriting strategies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in underwriting or a related role within the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical capabilities and proficient in risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and underwriting software.
• Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
