Staff Network Development Engineer, IT
Skills
- 3+ years network engineering experience in multi-vendor environments (Arista, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.).
- 3+ years experience with network automation toolsets (Ansible, Jinja2, NAPALM, Netmiko, Terraform).
- Proven Python scripting ability for automation and integrations.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, firewalls, and NAT.
- Experience with RESTful APIs for device and platform integrations.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
- Experience with NetBox or similar network source-of-truth platforms.
- Familiarity integrating network systems with cloud providers (Azure, AWS).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated workflows for network provisioning and management.
- Maintain and enhance the network source-of-truth repository (e.g., NetBox).
- Develop integrations between network systems and internal tools (monitoring, logging, asset management).
- Translate network designs and configurations into code alongside network engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents across automated and traditional infrastructure.
- Write, review, and maintain clean, scalable, and documented code following Git best practices.
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for network configuration and infrastructure deployments.
- Contribute to network standards, policies, and best practices.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant network automation or cloud certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNP, DevNet, AWS/Azure certs).
