Responsibilities
- Create process plans, standard operating procedures, inspection plans, and work-holding/fixturing designs for machined parts
- Develop and deploy new machining technologies and methodologies to improve manufacturability and efficiency
- Advise design teams on design-for-manufacturability, GD&T, and datum structures
- Recommend and implement design updates to improve manufacturability and reduce non-conformances
- Investigate non-conforming hardware, perform root-cause analysis, and define corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations to scale machine shop capabilities
Education
- B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline (required)
- Relevant technical training or certifications in machining/manufacturing (preferred)
