Staff Avionics Hardware Engineer
Skills
- Design experience with ADCs, DACs, signal conditioning, amplifier and filter circuits
- Proficiency with eCAD tools (Altium or equivalent) and board-level design practices
- Hands-on hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and data analysis experience
- Experience designing electronics for harsh environments and mission-critical applications
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and document mixed-signal electronics (ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, filters, signal conditioning) for flight hardware
- Drive hardware development across the full product lifecycle: concept, schematic/layout, board bring-up, verification, qualification, and initial flight production
- Perform hardware bring-up, validation testing, debugging, and data analysis to ensure performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, propulsion, GNC) to integrate electronics into the vehicle
- Define requirements, create test plans, and support qualification activities for avionics assemblies
- Support manufacturing handoff and work with suppliers/PCB houses to ensure producibility and quality
- Troubleshoot and support vehicle integration and operations, providing on-site support for builds and launches
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus but not required
