- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T
- Proficiency using hand and bench metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, profilometer
- Experience documenting inspections and writing nonconformance reports
- Understanding of helicoils, keenserts, AS5202 port threads, and surface finish requirements
- Strong attention to detail, accurate data entry, and clear communication skills
- Willingness to work assigned first or second shift schedules
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections of machined and printed components to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, profilometers, pin/thread gages, etc.) to record measurements
- Perform visual inspections to identify burrs, damage, scratches or FOD and ensure proper surface finishes
- Document inspection results, generate nonconformance reports (NCRs), and communicate findings to engineering/manufacturing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the quality/metrology lab and calibration status of tools
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Follow safety and quality system procedures while supporting shift handovers and traceability
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certificate, vocational training, or associate degree in manufacturing/metrology preferred
