Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and validate mechanical hardware for avionics enclosures, vibration isolation, thermal management, and environmental protection.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on PCB assembly packaging, mounting, routing clearances, and EMC considerations.
- Perform preliminary sizing and analysis for static/dynamic loads and thermal environments.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with producibility and testability in mind.
- Lead rapid prototyping and iterative test campaigns to qualify flight designs.
- Drive cross-functional integration with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage teams to ensure system-level compatibility.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
