Production Manager
Skills
- Proven experience delivering against aggressive production schedules while maintaining quality and safety
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, integration, machining, test) and ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Experience managing and developing production teams including supervisors or leads
- Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Familiarity with production metrics, Lean practices, and continuous improvement methods
Responsibilities
- Lead production operations for an assigned area, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, cost, and safety targets
- Manage, coach, and develop production supervisors, leads, and technicians to build frontline leadership capability
- Partner with manufacturing engineering, planning, supply chain, and quality to resolve production issues and remove bottlenecks
- Own daily production metrics (throughput, first-pass yield, labor efficiency) and implement corrective actions when off-target
- Drive process improvements, Lean initiatives, and best practices to prepare the area for rate increases
- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations and champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred
- Equivalent hands-on production experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Relevant certifications (Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus
