Skills
- Strong knowledge of building codes, fire/life safety, and Title 24
- Experience leading capital or infrastructure projects through design, permitting, and construction
- Ability to review construction documents, redlines, and QA/QC deliverables for constructability
- Experience managing consultant deliverables and coordinating interdisciplinary reviews
- Clear written and verbal communication, meeting notes, and action tracker skills
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure project design from concept through permitting and construction handoff for the Wormhole factory
- Translate operational requirements into code-compliant architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil design packages
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and manage external consultants and interdisciplinary design integration
- Develop work center layouts with Manufacturing Engineers and CAD teams to meet equipment, utility, and compliance needs
- Manage design-phase budgets, soft cost estimates, and change tracking with project controls and estimating
- Provide construction administration support including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site walks, and punchlist validation
- Ensure designs meet building codes, fire/life safety, Title 24, permitting requirements, and operational constraints
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related technical discipline
- Relevant coursework or continuing education in building codes, permitting, or construction administration
