Skills
- Hands-on experience with thermal analysis (e.g., DSC, TGA, thermal conductivity)
- Experience with chemical analysis techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, wet chemistry, elemental analysis)
- Powder characterization skills (particle size, flowability, morphology)
- Equipment operation and preventive maintenance
- Data analysis, reporting, and technical communication
- Process development for lab testing and qualification workflows
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for thermal, chemical, and powder characterization techniques
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot thermal, chemical, and powder characterization equipment
- Develop and implement characterization processes to expand in-house testing capabilities
- Prepare and present technical data and reports to engineering customers, recommending best practices for data output
- Support testing across production, R&D, and failure analysis workflows
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to execute materials testing and ensure data quality
Education
- Associate's degree in materials science and engineering, chemistry, or related field (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in materials science, engineering, chemistry, or related field (preferred)
