Skills
- Proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., C#, React/Native, PHP)

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based software tools for data visualization and analysis
- Translate prototypes from data scientists and bioinformaticians into robust end-user software
- Lead development of software capabilities and establish engineering standards and best practices
- Advocate for and guide implementation of modular, reusable, and maintainable code
- Leverage generative AI to accelerate development and improve developer productivity
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve software products and development processes
- Manage cloud services including monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, security, and compliance
- Promote and train teams on containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment best practices
- Support deployment and maintenance of internal front-end applications and related cloud networking (load balancers, DNS, SSL, routers, NAT)
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks for cloud solutions and processes
- Implement monitoring and alerting to proactively detect and resolve issues
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Master’s degree or advanced technical training preferred
