interviewer straight up told me my portfolio was what got me the final round. not even my resume. so yes for UX/design!!
I made one just in case but honestly it’s crickets. I think it’s more helpful when you’re self-employed or freelancing
as someone in HR… most don’t read it unless it’s super relevant. Like, if you’re applying for content, design, or dev work, yes. Otherwise? Meh
I work in L&D and it actually helped me stand out. Hiring manager said most ppl didn’t send any proof of work so mine made me memorable
depends on the field. In tech I’ve seen it help if you're early career or switching stacks. But mid/senior roles? Mostly vibe checks and referrals
for writing gigs it’s clutch. even just linking a Google Doc with samples helped me land 3 freelance clients last month
I made one and literally no one asked for it during interviews 💀 kinda felt like wasted effort tbh
Do recruiters actually look at it or is it just ✨extra effort✨?
