Adecco is real but a Marketing Director via cold outreach on a Salesforce domain?? nah.
I once got a “Google” email booked through Calendly, turned out it was a startup trying to poach talent for unpaid trial work
if they don’t show up on LinkedIn at all and you can’t find that role listed anywhere, 99% chance it’s sketch.
Def weird it came through your work email. Real recruiters usually hit your LinkedIn or personal. I’d triple-check before clicking anything.
had a similar email once “from Apple” that turned out to be some recruiter farming resumes. trust your gut, this smells fishy.
the @salesforce.com domain for a Google role is already a 🚩. sounds like a third-party staffing scam tbh.

So this was unexpected. I got an email at my work address from someone claiming to be a Google recruiter. They want to set up an interview for a Marketing Director role, which, tbh, isn’t too far off from my current job. Naturally, I was a little hyped.
But here’s the weird part:
I do use Google Ads on my work email, so maybe that’s how they found me? But still… something’s off. It sounds kinda legit but also has a bunch of red flags.
Anyone else ever get a legit-sounding recruiter email that turned out to be fake? Or has anyone actually landed a real gig this way? Just trying to avoid wasting time or getting phished 😬
