That’s literally called “tailoring your resume.” If they don’t like it, that’s on them.

Interviewed with a hiring manager who told me my resume was “obviously just stuffed with keywords from the job description.” But… isn’t that the point? I didn’t lie and just reworded actual experience to match how they described it. Like instead of saying “analytics,” I used “strategic analytics.” Is that really such a big deal? I thought we were supposed to tailor our resumes?
