insurance companies pay decent for UR/case mgmt. not bedside money but not pennies either. iβm at $38/hr remote rn
i do WFH triage. started at $34/hr vs $42 in hospital. felt like a loss till i realized i donβt have to do 3x12s anymore π
remote roles def pay less in general. BUT no gas, scrubs, lunch money, etc adds up. saved a lot more than expected
I left ICU for a remote preauth job. Cut in pay but honestly my mental health got a raise lol
depends on the company. some insurance jobs pay close to bedside, others try to lowball hard. always negotiate!
i took a remote case mgmt role last year. pay was ~20% lower but benefits were better & iβm not crying after every shift so worth it tbh
i do telehealth from home & yeah itβs like $3β$6 less per hour than floor nursing BUT no 12hr shifts, no codes, no back pain π

Iβve been an RN for 5 years and my back hurts from shifts. considering telehealth or case management, but I keep hearing remote pay is lower. are we talking $5/hr less or massive pay reductions? whatβs real?
