About the Role:

As a Semantic Modeling Engineer, you will be a key contributor to PVH’s Data Powerhouse initiative, driving the creation of high-performance, scalable, and business-friendly semantic data models that power enterprise-wide analytics and reporting. Your expertise in data modeling, metadata management, and visualization will ensure that users across the organization can seamlessly access and interpret data through governed, structured, and intuitive models.

In this role, you will work closely with Data Engineering, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders to develop and optimize semantic layers that support self-service analytics, AI-driven insights, and enterprise reporting. You will ensure that these models are accessible, well-documented, and aligned with governance policies, enabling business users to derive trusted insights with ease.

By translating complex data architectures into user-friendly models, you will bridge the gap between technical data structures and business decision-making, enhancing data discoverability, usability, and adoption across PVH’s commercial, consumer, and supply chain domains. Your contributions will be instrumental in enabling data democratization, accelerating insight generation, and driving innovation across the organization.

What You'll Do:

• DESIGN & DEVELOP SEMANTIC MODELS
  • Build and maintain semantic layers, data marts, and tabular models to support self-service analytics.
  • Optimize data structures for usability, performance, and governance within Power BI and other BI platforms.
  • Ensure alignment with data governance, metadata, and business definitions to promote consistency.
• VISUALIZATION & BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ENABLEMENT
  • Develop intuitive, well-structured data models that facilitate self-service reporting and AI-driven analytics.
  • Enhance data accessibility and usability by structuring models for clear, business-friendly insights.
  • Collaborate with BI teams to optimize dashboards and reports for scalability and performance.
• DATA GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE
  • Ensure semantic models follow governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Work with Data Governance to ensure proper metadata, lineage tracking, and standardization across models.
  • Support data cataloging and documentation efforts to improve data discoverability.
• COLLABORATION & OPTIMIZATION
  • Partner with Data Engineering to define data structures that support semantic modeling requirements.
  • Work with business stakeholders to refine data models based on evolving analytical needs.
  • Continuously enhance models to improve performance, scalability, and adoption.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in data modeling, semantic layer development, BI engineering, and supporting enterprise BI architectures across tools like Power BI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy
• Deep expertise in Power BI, SSAS Tabular, DAX, and SQL, with strong applied experience in semantic model architecture and optimization
• Experience designing and managing schema objects (attributes, metrics, hierarchies) and semantic layers (project configuration, caching, and security)
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, data marts, and aligning these with business-friendly, reusable semantic layers
• Demonstrated ability to optimize semantic models across BI platforms for performance, scalability, and usability, while maintaining consistency across reporting tools
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, security model design, and user access controls in enterprise BI ecosystems.

PREFERRED:

• Experience with AWS, Azure Synapse, Databricks
• Knowledge of self-service analytics enablement and enterprise reporting
• Background in retail, supply chain, or consumer analytics

Pay Range:$101,300---$137,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible.
