Blair Logistics a PS Logistics Company, is a fast growing, people oriented trucking company that is committed to excellence. We were founded in 2009 as an owner operator transportation company and started with 15 trucks. We have now grown to over 600 owner operators with 750+ trailers! Our fleet is made up of owner operators and lease purchase operators with flatbed and conestoga trailers.

Job Description

Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of the company by overseeing employees in their daily duties, optimizing processes and procedures to achieve maximum efficiency, and ensuring deliverables are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for handling permitting
  • Optimizing operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new processes and procedures.
  • Identifying ways to improve customer experiences.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Training new employees and ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Interacting with drivers and planners, and resolving issues.
  • Tracking and reporting on operational performance.
  • Maintaining policy and procedure documents.

Qualifications

Logistics experience 1-2 years  
Ability to multitask and take on new assignments when required
CSA compliance knowledge
Time management skills
Willing to learn
Willing to work with a team
Excel and TMS management experience
Skilled at working with OTR truck drivers 
Problem solving
High School Diploma/GED

6 months- 1 year

 

A Successful Operations Specialist must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values.  They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Operations Specialist must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
