Skills
- Deep networking and firewalling expertise (Palo Alto highly preferred)
- Experience with micro-segmentation and zero trust tools (Illumio, NSX, vArmour, etc.)
- Hands-on knowledge of SASE and CASB architectures (Prisma Access, zScaler, NetSkope)
- Experience with NDR/traffic analysis platforms (Darktrace, ExtraHop, Vectra)
- Familiarity with IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and NAC technologies
- Cloud networking experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of network security engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
- Architect and lead implementation of network security solutions: micro-segmentation, next-gen firewalls, VPN/SASE, WAF, NDR, NAC, and centralized policy management
- Configure and maintain advanced firewall and security platform settings (Palo Alto features including User-ID, App-ID, IDS/IPS) locally and globally
- Develop and maintain network segmentation and zero-trust architecture to reduce lateral movement risk
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR through policies, audits, and controls
- Integrate security controls with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) including access controls, encryption, and network segmentation
- Perform risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, and coordinate penetration testing and remediation plans
- Develop and deliver training materials and security awareness sessions for technical and non-technical audiences
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (required)
- Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, PCSNE, Security+, etc.)
