Skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure security services (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Firewall).
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking (NSGs, Application Gateway, DDoS protection).
- Identity and access management expertise (Azure AD/Entra ID, PIM, Conditional Access).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep) and CI/CD security integration.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection skills.
- Ability to produce compliance documentation and run security audits.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure security architectures and hardening standards.
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Firewall.
- Implement identity and access management solutions using Azure AD / Entra ID and Conditional Access.
- Manage security monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response for Azure environments.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and compliance audits (NIST/CIS).
- Manage Azure Policy, Blueprints, and governance frameworks for regulatory compliance.
- Integrate security into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines using IaC (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
- Present findings, recommendations, and security roadmaps to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Required professional certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) and Security+ IAT Level II (8570).
- Active U.S. Secret clearance required.
