Business Analyst, Back Office Technology

Point72’s Back Office Technology team supports trade processing, position keeping, clearing/settlement, fund accounting, trade reconciliation and prime broker integrations. The firm is seeking an experienced technology-focused Business Analyst / program lead to manage back-office transformation initiatives, partner with business stakeholders, and coordinate cross-team delivery for modernization and new product implementations.

Skills

  • 8+ years running technology projects in middle/back-office environments and managing client-facing communications
  • Experience implementing or integrating prime broker reconciliation platforms
  • Knowledge of financial products: fixed income, credit, equities and derivatives
  • Proficiency with SQL and data tools such as Tableau or Alteryx
  • Strong SDLC knowledge (Waterfall and Agile) and experience with Scrum practices and velocity tracking
  • Experience with cloud and microservice architectures and cross-team collaboration at scale
  • Experience with budgeting/forecasting, resource planning and program-level financial tracking

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning and delivery of select software/system development initiatives within Back Office Technology
  • Coordinate program initiatives across technology teams and business partners, tracking milestones and dependencies
  • Drive requirement gathering, define acceptance criteria, and oversee release deployment processes
  • Maintain executive status reporting, milestone tracking, and team performance metrics
  • Identify, escalate and manage program issues and risks with mitigation plans
  • Support resource planning, budgeting/forecasting and capacity management for program initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-team processes to ensure delivery schedules, software quality and operational metrics
  • Support data conversion, deployment planning, and overall change management for new product launches

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or relevant professional certification preferred
