Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey, Inc. (PPNCSNJ) provides comprehensive reproductive and sexual health care, abortion services, education and information to women, men and teens at 17 health centers throughout 18 counties in New Jersey.


$120,000 - $120,000 a year
Pay: $120k annually
Hours: 35 hr work week, Exempt
Schedule: Full Time, 5-day work week

Job Description:




JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education/License(s): Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting with a detailed understanding of financial accounting and reporting requirements for non-profit organizations.. Work experience may substitute the degree requirements. CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.
Minimum Work Experience: Five (5) years of accounting experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience. Demonstrates proficiency in strategic planning, operational review, and cost benefit analysis. Is well versed in using IT financial and medical billing systems. Effectively communicates with staff at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of healthcare industry, including insurance contracts and billings, is highly desirable.
Minimum Work Experience:
Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license. Reliable transportation to travel throughout the service area.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Finance Manager performs a wide range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:

1. Serves as a member of the Finance Team; works collaboratively with the CFO and VP of Finance to provide overall leadership and management of the department. 

2.Supervises, evaluates, trains, and leads finance department personnel and the billing department personnel.

3.Supervises the monthly reconciliation of NextGen EHR records with Coronis billing data, general ledger revenue entries and bank deposits.

4.Works with departments across the organization to gather and compile revenue, expense and capital information to prepare the organization’s annual budget.

5.Work with the agency’s independent auditors to prepare the annual audit and tax returns.

6.Supervise the recording and reconciliation of donations and grants with the Development department.  Determine the proper accounting treatment of each donation/grant.

7.Coordinate preparation of quarterly reports for grants, taxes, insurance, PPFA, and other entities to which the agency must report.

8.Financial oversight of preparation and management of capital budget and fixed asset reporting.  Maintain the fixed asset subledger and related depreciation.

9.Participate in management, and employee meetings.

10.Maintain the financial records of Planned Parenthood of NJ Action Fund.
