The Engineering Manager for the Shoppability pod within the Performance Ad Formats team plays a critical role in driving Pinterest’s lower-funnel ad strategy. In this role, you will lead the development of innovative shoppability ad formats, optimize for better click quality and conversion rates, and drive measurable improvements in key performance metrics. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines and teams to shape and execute a cohesive strategy for lower-funnel advertising at Pinterest.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team (iOS, Android, Web, Backend), supporting their growth and development.
- Shape and execute Pinterest’s lower-funnel advertising strategy to drive business impact.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, PMM, Data Science, and Engineering to align on goals and deliver innovative shoppability ad solutions.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, or equivalent experience.
- A leader who will drive our shoppability ads strategy and execute seamlessly across multiple functions.
- Someone skilled at building and empowering high-performing, fast-moving engineering teams.
In-Office Requirement Statement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration once a week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices San Francisco or Palo Alto.
