The Rising Stars Program
We are launching an exclusive program designed for exceptional graduating or recently graduated engineers and scientists—our "Rising Stars." This is a rare opportunity for extraordinary young talent to gain unparalleled exposure across cutting-edge fields and grow into the next generation of technology leaders.
Over the next 2–3 years, ten extraordinary hires will join our Boston-based team full-time, becoming a core part of Flexcompute's journey into the 2030s and beyond. Each Rising Star will be paired with senior mentors and will rotate through diverse projects spanning:
Machine learning infrastructure – building scalable systems to power AI research and applications.
High-performance GPU scientific computing – accelerating physics-based simulations and advanced algorithms.
AI-driven data engineering – harnessing intelligence to process and interpret massive datasets.
3D cloud visualization and GPU rendering – bringing complex designs to life interactively.
Physics simulation platforms – modeling systems from molecules to megastructures.
Who We're Looking For:
We are not looking for average applicants. This program is designed for outstanding graduates with a proven record of excellence. You may be a fit if you have demonstrated achievement in the following:
Graduated at the top of your class or with academic distinctions.
Built impactful open-source contributions or research software.
Led or delivered significant technical projects (academic, research, or entrepreneurial).
Awards, fellowships, or competition wins that reflect your talent.
Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a drive to tackle the hardest problems.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly ambitious environment.
A recent or upcoming degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
Strong programming skills in at least one major language (Python, C++, Rust, Go, Java, Node.js, JavaScript).
Preferred Skills
Experience in backend development, APIs, or databases.
Familiarity with Git, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Graduate-level coursework or research experience (Master's or PhD).
