Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking a Facilities Workstream Product Owner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will oversee and drive the planning, execution, and delivery of facilities-related workstreams in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will act as the bridge between FAA stakeholders, engineering teams, and contractors, ensuring facilities projects align with FAA standards for power, HVAC, cabling, and physical infrastructure that support mission-critical Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. You will own the facilities product backlog, prioritize requirements, and ensure deliverables meet performance, compliance, and operational needs.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of enterprise communications while working with cutting-edge technology and a highly collaborative team.

In this position, you will:

  • Own the product backlog for the FAA facilities workstream, ensuring requirements are captured, prioritized, and delivered.

  • Collaborate with FAA stakeholders to define and refine requirements for power, HVAC, cabling, site readiness, and physical infrastructure.

  • Partner with engineering, program, and subcontractor teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks.

  • Ensure facilities designs and upgrades comply with FAA standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

  • Provide oversight of site readiness and infrastructure integration for ATC systems and modernization projects.

  • Monitor progress of facilities-related workstreams, ensuring milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.

  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery or compliance.

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between stakeholders, contractors, and FAA leadership.

  • Deliver status reports, metrics, and recommendations for leadership and program management reviews.

  • Stay current with emerging trends in facilities design, sustainability, and resiliency to inform FAA initiatives.

Why This Role Matters

The NAS is one of the world’s most sophisticated and high-stakes infrastructures. The Facilities Workstream Product Owner ensures that facility upgrades and modernizations are aligned with FAA’s mission, funding priorities, and safety standards. By managing requirements, priorities, and deliverables, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational readiness, resilience, and sustainability of the facilities that support air traffic management across the nation.
