Skills
- Advanced modern C++ proficiency (performance, memory, concurrency)
- Experience integrating ML models into embedded or real-time systems
- Familiarity with robotics middleware such as ROS / ROS2
- Working knowledge of Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, NumPy, scikit-learn)
- Experience with profiling and optimizing CPU/GPU code
- Strong Linux development experience and hardware interface familiarity
- System-level software design and optimization skills
Responsibilities
- Drive engineering best practices around code quality, testing, modularity, and documentation
- Design, implement, and optimize core robotics software components in C++ (and Python where applicable)
- Integrate machine learning models into low-latency, real-time systems
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines using Python and ML libraries
- Profile and optimize performance-critical code on CPU and GPU
- Collaborate cross-functionally with ML, hardware, and product teams to deliver roadmap goals
- Perform code reviews, write tests, and ensure software reliability and maintainability
- Mentor and grow other engineers on the team
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
