Quality Technician $18-19.50/hr
Parallel Employment Group is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician for a food manufacturing company located in Janesville, WI. The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in maintaining product quality and food safety standards. This position supports production by performing tests, inspections, and audits to ensure raw materials, processes, and finished products meet internal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical tests and audits on ingredients, finished goods, and packaging to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF).
- Accurately document test results and measurements according to company procedures.
- Work closely with production and packaging departments to communicate findings and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Verify sanitation and allergen cleaning processes before production runs.
- Audit labeling, documentation, and records prior to product shipment.
- Monitor drying room cycles and adjust based on data to ensure optimal product quality.
- Collect and inspect product samples for internal testing and marketing purposes
- Associate degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of experience in a regulatory compliance or quality environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
