Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include managing a portfolio of journals, negotiating contracts, collaborating with various departments, achieving revenue and quality targets, and overseeing the transition of newly acquired titles.
Skills: Candidates should possess publishing or relevant professional experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, analytical ability, and excellent organizational skills.
Qualifications: Understanding of academic publishing workflows and industry trends is preferred, along with a proven ability to manage client relationships.
Location: This position can be performed remotely in the United States or in a hybrid model from either New York, NY or Cary, NC.
Compensation: $67844 - $96000 / Annually

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Publisher in our Journals Editorial team, you will manage and develop a portfolio of society journals in the social sciences and humanities to a degree of excellence that enhances OUP’s standing in the learned society and publishing landscape. You will renew society contracts with maximum financial contribution to OUP and lead pre-emptive renewals and responses to RFPs to retain contracts for society-owned journals including developing the business plans for approval and writing and presenting detailed proposals, in liaison with the Publishing Director.
