Responsibilities
- Perform resident assessments and relevant diagnostic testing to determine health status
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and update care plans as needed
- Supervise LPNs and certified nursing assistants in daily care activities
- Communicate resident condition changes and test results to physicians
- Document assessments, care, and regulatory forms per company policy and state/federal guidelines
- Educate residents and families on health-related issues and care decisions
- Promote dignity, autonomy, and high-quality service for elder residents
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN program)
- Valid state LPN/LVN licensure
- Current CPR certification
- CEUs as required by the state
