Controls Engineering Intern, will support the design, development, and testing of control systems used in advanced equipment and automated processes. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to PLCs, HMI development, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world projects that drive innovation and efficiency in our products and operations
YOUR IMPACT
Assist with the design, programming, and troubleshooting of control systems for manufacturing equipment or vehicle systems.
Participate in the testing and validation of electrical and control systems.
Help implement modifications to existing control systems to improve performance or adapt to new requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure system integration and performance.
Assist in drafting wiring diagrams, control schematics, and documentation for new or revised systems.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes related to system faults or failures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing Bachelor's in Electrical, Controls Mechatronics or Automation Engineering or a related field
3.0 GPA or higher
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers, HMI design, and industrial communication protocols
Experience with electrical schematics and control panel design is a plus
Understanding of sensor technologies, actuators and safety systems
WORKING CONDITIONS

This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
