Accounts Receivable Manager
Skills
- Proven AR management and supervisory experience
- Strong automation and scripting experience for invoicing processes
- Experience with invoicing systems (ChargeOver or similar)
- Familiarity with payment processors (Dex, Stripe) and posting workflows
- Knowledge of APIs and integrations (preferred)
- Reconciliation and billing dispute resolution
- Procedure writing and process documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with accounting systems
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate the AR team to meet departmental goals
- Produce invoices using automation and scripts wherever possible
- Oversee accounts receivable processes including quarterly billing and collections
- Timely posting of client payments from checks, ACH, and third-party processors
- Process credit card payments and post record-keeper payments by source and client
- Follow up on overdue invoices, send statements, resign from engagements, and manage collections placements
- Reconcile workflow management and proposal systems to invoices issued
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
- Process client refunds as needed
- Maintain a productive relationship with the accounting department
- Document procedures and continuously improve AR workflows
Education
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
