About the Opportunity
The School of Nursing is seeking part-time faculty to teach theoretical courses including didactic and/or skills laboratory courses in the following areas: Adult Medical/Surgical, Public Community Health, Maternal Child/Women's Heath, Pediatrics, and Psychiatric/Mental Health. Part-time instructor positions are available as determined by the department’s curricular and institutional needs.
Responsibilities include preparation of lectures, course materials, examinations, and evaluation of student performance in the course. Part- time faculty may work under the direction of the lead faculty for the course and will hold office hours as appropriate.
Requirements to teach a didactic course include a Master’s Degree in Nursing, a minimum of two years’ relevant professional nursing experience within the last five years, competence appropriate to teaching responsibilities, and a current Massachusetts RN license
Previous teaching experience is highly desirable.
Start dates: May, July, September, and January.
Seeking applicants with significant career accomplishments within subject area and college teaching experience in a large, diverse, higher education institution.
