We are seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to lead user experience at NetBox Labs. In this role, you’ll create data-dense yet intuitive interfaces that make complex network and infrastructure information accessible and actionable for technical users. You will partner closely with product management and engineering to design user interfaces and workflows that drive adoption, usability, and delight.
This is a hands-on design role with a strong emphasis on UI design, but also on user research, workflow definition, and UX strategy. You will be the first dedicated design hire at NetBox Labs, setting the foundation for our design system and leading design execution across our products.
Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process, from research and ideation to wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and ongoing analysis and refinement.
Design intuitive, data-rich interfaces that help network engineers, IT administrators, and infrastructure teams understand and act on complex information.
Define and maintain a cohesive design system, component library, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across products, environments, user persona, and a dynamic product portfolio.
Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements, prioritize features, and shape workflows that align with user needs and business goals.
Conduct user research and usability testing to develop personas, journey maps, and data-driven design insights.
Partner with frontend and backend engineers to ensure feasibility, smooth implementation, and high-quality execution of designs.
Sr. Director / VP of Product, who you will report to, aligning on product priorities and design vision.
Product Managers, to translate requirements into clear workflows and UI/UX solutions.
Engineering teams, to collaborate on implementation and ensure designs balance usability with technical feasibility.
Customer Success and Sales, to gather user feedback and ensure designs address real-world customer needs.
Customers and community members, to validate design approaches and incorporate user perspectives.
7-10 years of experience as a product designer or UX/UI designer, ideally in B2B enterprise software or SaaS environments.
Prior experience as the first or lead designer in a startup or growth-stage company, establishing design foundations and systems.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing intuitive, data-dense user interfaces and workflows.
Experience creating and maintaining design systems, style guides, and reusable components.
Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping methods.
Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility best practices.
Comfort conducting user research, leveraging analytics, and applying insights to product design.
Experience designing for technical audiences such as developers, system administrators, or network engineers.
Recent experience rapidly prototyping with modern AI prototyping tools like V0, Bolt, Lovable, Claude Code, or others.
Familiarity with network infrastructure concepts, monitoring/observability platforms, or other technical tools.
Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices for complex, high-density information.
Understanding of web application architecture, single-page applications (SPAs), and design considerations for enterprise-scale tools.
