Director, Brand & Creative Production

OUR MISSION
Imagine building a better healthcare journey for people with cancer, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.

At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for patients but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.

To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As Director, Brand & Creative Production you will lead the evolution of our design function—overseeing a growing volume of strategic, cross-functional creative needs across enterprise, member, and partner-facing work. You will be responsible for scaling the creative team, ensuring design excellence across all touchpoints, and building the infrastructure that enables speed, clarity, and consistency at scale.

You’ll play a dual role:

  • Strategic Design Leader & Individual Contributor: Own and expand our visual identity and design system—and personally lead the execution of key design deliverables across enterprise materials, engagement campaigns, and new service lines. This is a hands-on role: you’ll be responsible for setting the creative bar and rolling up your sleeves to design high-impact work yourself.
  • Creative Team Builder & Executional Anchor: Manage, mentor, and scale a hybrid team of in-house designers, contractors, and agencies—building the processes, tools, and structures that support sustainable growth and high-volume production. While guiding the team, you’ll also own execution in critical moments, especially when deadlines are tight, stakes are high, or clarity is needed through craft.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Brand Leadership & Creative Experience
Evolve and steward Thyme Care’s visual identity across every touchpoint—from enterprise decks to member campaigns—ensuring consistency, empathy, and strategic resonance in all brand expressions. Own and update our brand visual guide as new service lines and audiences emerge.
  • Web & Digital Presence
Lead the creative direction and execution of our web properties, ensuring they are compelling, cohesive, and distinct, designed to resonate with diverse stakeholders while standing out in the healthcare space.
  • Campaign Execution
Own both strategy and execution for high-impact campaigns across digital and physical channels—including web, email, ads, OOH, video, and print. Deliver creative that is emotionally resonant, high-performing, and deeply aligned with our mission and voice.
  • Lifecycle & System Design
Establish and uphold design standards across all lines of business, ensuring consistency while identifying where and how the brand may need to flex or expand to support new service lines, sub-brands, or entities.
  • Creative Team Mentorship & Resource Strategy
Lead and support a hybrid creative team—internal designers, contractors, and agencies—through clear standards, effective workflows, and scalable tooling. Build rituals that help the team move fast without sacrificing quality, including briefs, reviews, documentation, and sprint planning. Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations to ensure success and sustainability. Remain hands-on with execution, especially in high-priority or high-stakes moments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Growth, Care Delivery, Product, and Partner teams to translate business goals into bold, empathetic creative. Ensure that every piece of design supports engagement, care outcomes, and strategic clarity across audiences.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years in visual design, creative direction, or brand leadership, including 3+ years managing multidisciplinary or distributed creative teams
  • Direct people-leadership experience, including mentoring, developing, and managing both full-time and part-time designers, while fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration
  • Proven ability to manage agency and freelance partners—from briefing and scoping to feedback and final delivery
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling and design craft across digital, print, campaign, and presentation formats
  • Experience balancing multiple workstreams, priorities, and timelines; able to make informed tradeoffs and decisions that align with broader strategic goals while operating in a player-coach capacity—rapidly context-switching between high-level strategy, team and stakeholder management, and hands-on design execution
  • Confident project management instincts—comfortable pushing back, reframing, or redirecting requests when needed to protect creative quality and focus
  • Strength in systems thinking and creative operations—able to build workflows and infrastructure, not just ship individual outputs
  • Cross-functional experience collaborating with marketing, product, clinical, operations, and growth teams
  • A collaborative mindset and strong creative instincts—able to balance speed, brand rigor, and stakeholder alignment
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, or value-based care is a plus, but not required. Experience at a startup is a bonus!

WHY THIS ROLE, WHY NOW
This is a rare opportunity to build the creative structure for one of the most cross-functional and high-impact teams at Thyme Care. You’ll step in at a critical moment, with a strong brand foundation in place, executive alignment, and a clear mandate to scale a sustainable, strategic design function that drives growth and improves lives.

OUR VALUES
At Thyme Care, our core values guide us in everything we do: Act with our members in mind, Move with purpose, and Seek diverse perspectives. They anchor our business decisions, including how we grow, the products we make, and the paths we choose—or don’t choose.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Thyme Care.  Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Thyme Care employees.  The base salary for this role is $165,000 - $185,000 a year.  The salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired at another level.

We recognize a history of inequality in healthcare. We’re here to challenge the status quo and create a culture of inclusion through the care we give and the company we build. We embrace and celebrate a diversity of perspectives in reflection of our members and the members we serve. We are an equal-opportunity employer.

Be cautious of recruitment fraud, and always confirm that communications are coming from an official Thyme Care email.
