- Proficiency with medical billing systems and accurate data entry/record keeping.
- Experience with Oracle and/or Salesforce (preferred) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Basic medical terminology and procedure coding knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, handle confidential information, and work under urgency.
- Analytical skills with ability to identify trends and report insights clearly.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of all services and process billing type updates with data accuracy.
- Identify, research, and resolve billing cases; collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent recurring issues.
- Analyze billing trends and implement process improvements to enhance revenue cycle performance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper system configuration for accurate invoicing.
- Develop and maintain efficient billing workflows and monitor billing performance and reporting.
- Identify and leverage new technologies to drive continuous improvement in billing operations.
- Escalate unresolved issues as needed and establish working relationships with departments impacting revenue cycle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Healthcare-related education or equivalent experience required.
- Equivalent job experience may substitute for a degree.
